Julie often comes out with expressions that I've not heard before. Today's was "put wood in hole", which means "shut the door".
We're just waiting to get into Splendour music festival in Wollaton Park in Nottingham today.
I went to a meeting in one of the officer overlooking the Square the other day. Had to take this picture. I really like the Square, I have to say.

There are lots of people about in the Square today. It is lovely and sunny and the "Nottingham Eye" is full. Sat and had a coffee from Pret and watched the world go by for a bit. Great :-)
Heard about this thing and saw it in town tonight.
We explored this park for the first time today. It is suprisingly large with lovely woods and a walled garden, where I took this picture of Julie in the sundial maze.
Saw this letterbox lying on its side as I came into work today. They're big heavy things - I wonder what happened here?
Great service is a pleasure to receive and it doesn't have to be fancy or for expensive things. I took some shoes for repair at Timpson in the West End Arcade in Nottingham. When I picked them up today (when they were supposed to be ready) they had done a great job. The chap asked if I'd fill in a customer satisfaction card and so I did saying that I received excellent service and that I would be very likely to recommend the shop to other people. So here I am, making a recommendation. If you need your shoes repairing, go here.
I met up with Julie in Wollaton Park before coming home tonight. The Hall looks great now the scaffolding is down, and so many deer about. A great feature of Nottingham.
