This place is fantastic. Firstly, it is massive. Secondly, the main beer comes in massive 1 litre glasses. Thirdly, the atmosphere is brilliant. They have a band that plays Bavarian drinking songs. I could have sat there all night drinking the beer. The little video shows just a snapshot of what its like.

Whilst there are lots of tourists, there are lots of real regulars in their traditional dress and special tables reserved for them. Real long-term regulars get their own pottery steins with metal lids that they get to keep in numbered and locked racks. Just fascinating to watch and enjoy.

I had a guided tour of parts of Munich this evening from a friend of a friend, Stefan. What a suprisingly lovely city. I've got more photos than I can do in one post so one more to do after this.

Bayern Munich are playing against Milan in the Champions League quarter-finals this evening in Munich, which explains the large number of Italians, who are doing a lot of chanting and clapping.

I'm in Munich today seeing some clients and contacts. I've flown from Birmingham and landed about 10 minutes ago. Here's the plane I flew on, the smallest jet I've been on for ages.

I have never been to any part of Germany before and so looking forward to the day and the experience.
